Quick Buttercream is the easiest and most versatile of all types of frostings and creams out there. With only two main ingredients, butter and icing sugar, it is extremely simple and takes very little time to make. It’s easy to change the flavor with flavors, melted chocolate, cocoa powder and even peanut butter. The key to success in achieving great-tasting buttercream is the amount of time you spend whipping – the more you whip the butter, the more air you incorporate, making it lighter and creamier in taste and texture.
° 125 g of soft butter
° 75 g caster sugar
° 1 egg
Work the diced butter with a spatula until it is softened.
Mix the whole eggs with the sugar in a saucepan over a double boiler and work until the device forms a ribbon.
Add the chosen flavor then place the pan in a container of cold water and stir until the cream has cooled.
Gradually incorporate the buttercream.
Use the cream for a cake (about 8 people) or keep cool and consume quickly.
