This is the best banana bread recipe I ever made! it’s so easy to make and super soft and moist! It’s a great way to use up overripe bananas it is tender and packed full of flavor!
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup mashed banana (about 3 or 4 bananas)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs
1 ) Cream shortening and add sugar gradually, mix in eggs and banana. (If you’re a diabetic, you can reduce the sugar to just 1 cup).
2 ) In a separate mixing bowl sift the dry ingredients together and add them to the creamed mixture
3 ) Add milk, sour cream, and vanilla, and mix until combined (you can use yogurt instead of sour cream for variation).
4 ) Grease a bundt pan or 2 bread pans, and pour in the batter and bake for 60 minutes (or until done) at 350°F and ENJOY!!!
