- In a nonstick saucepan, saute onions in maple syrup for 20 minutes or until caramelized.
- Salt and Pepper.
- Let it cool down.
- Lay the butter paper on the baking tray.
- On a floured work surface, roll puff pastry into a 46 cm by 20 cm (18 by 8 inch) rectangle.
- Spread the onion mixture on one half of the surface, then fold the other half of the dough over the onions. Cut into slices and roll them up.
- Place the twists on a baking tray and leave them in the freezer for about an hour, or until the dough is semi-frozen.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F), and place it in the middle.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Feet warm or cold.
