This Fresh Strawberry Cake is full of fresh, delicious strawberry taste! Moist strawberry cake layers are combined for the best Strawberry cake with a strawberry cream cheese frosting!
To make this delicious cake you’ll need:
– 1 small package of white or vanilla cake mix.
– 1 cup and half whipped cream.
– 1-pint strawberries sliced.
– 1 non-fat yogurt.
– 1/2 cup water.
– 1/4 cup strawberry all-fruit preserves melted.
– An egg white.
– 3 tbsp vegetable oil.
– 1/2 tsp vanilla.
Step 1- Place an oven rack in the middle of the oven and preheat to 350 °F. Coat with a cooking spray a circular baking pan, then sprinkle with flour.
Step 2- Beat the cake mixture in a big bowl with an electric mixer, add in egg white, water, vegetable oil, vanilla, and the yogurt and beat until well mixed, for 3 to 4 minutes.
Step 3- Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and bake for about 25 to 34 mins.
Step 4- When a wooden toothpick inserted in the middle, comes out clean, remove from the oven, and cool for 10 minutes on a wire rack. Remove the cake carefully from the pan and put it on the rack to totally cool.
Step 5- Break the cooled cake into 2 layers, horizontally. Put the bottom layer cut side up on a plate. Place 1/2 of the preserves over the cake layer. Cover with 1/2 of the whipped cream and half the sliced strawberries.
Step 6- Add the second layer, cover with the remaining cream and arrange on top of the remaining strawberries.
