Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef

1 Egg

¼ c bread crumbs

⅛ tsp ground black pepper

½ tsp seasoned salt

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp garlic powder

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 c thinly sliced onion

2 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 c beef broth

1 tbsp cooking sherry

½ tsp seasoned salt


Directions:

Step 1: Add the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Step 2: Make 8 balls out of the mixture and slightly press each into a patty.

Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 4: Add oil and allow it to become hot.

Step 5: Add the patties and onion. Cook each side of the patties for 4 minutes or until brown.

Step 6: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a clean plate.

Step 7: Add flour into the skillet with the onions. Stir until well mixed and make sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the brown bits.

Step 8: Add the sherry, beef broth, and salt. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.

Step 9: Reduce the heat to low, then put the patties back to the skillet.

Step 10: Cover the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes.

Step 11: Remove the skillet from the heat.

Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
