This easy cabbage and ground beef recipe is a hearty one-pan dinner made with tender cabbage, seasoned ground meat, onion, garlic, and optional tomatoes.

Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage sliced
- 1 pound 500 g ground beef or pork, or a combination
- 1 onion thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves coarsely chopped
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 1 can diced tomatoes optional
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley or dill for garnish
- Chili flakes optional
Instructions
- Remove the cabbage core and chop the cabbage into small pieces. Set aside.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground meat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the onion and garlic. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until the onion is tender and translucent.
- Stir in the paprika and cumin, then season with salt, pepper, and optional chili flakes.
- Add the cabbage and cook for 10 to 25 minutes, until tender and the liquid has reduced.
- If using diced tomatoes, stir them in and simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.
Notes
Use ground beef, pork, or a combination of both. Adjust chili flakes to taste.
