My kids love chips, so instead of giving them a package of chips I’d rather make a casserole out of it! Check out this easy recipe of frito casserole.
You’ll Need
1 lb of lean ground beef.
1 can (16 oz) of chili beans.
1 can (8 oz) of tomato sauce.
1 can (15 oz) of diced tomatoes.
1 envelope of low sodium taco seasoning.
1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
3 ½ cups of corn chips.
1 ¼ cups of fat free sour cream.
How to:
In a skillet, brown the ground beef and drain off the fat.
Mix in the beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, taco seasoning mix and ¼ cup of cheese.
In an 8×8 baking dish, spread one cup of corn chips and top with chili.
In a preheated oven to 350° bake for 20 minutes, take out of the oven and spread the sour cream over the top and top with corn chips and cheese.
Bake for 5 more minutes and enjoy!
Easy, peasy and cheesy! The beans and tomatoes goes perfectly with the chips and ground beef. I’m sure you will like this.
