Ingredients
- mashed potatoes – 2 cups
- flour – two cups
- water – a cup
- yeast – two teaspoons
- Cinnamon – a teaspoon
- Sugar – 3 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil for frying – 8 cups
- To prepare the drink:
- Sugar – 2 cups
- water – a cup
- Lemon juice – half a grain
- Rose water – a tablespoon
- blossom water – a tablespoon
Instructions
- Dissolve the yeast and half a teaspoon of sugar in a quarter cup of water.
- Leave the mixture for 5 minutes.
- Mix the mashed potatoes, flour, water, yeast mixture, cinnamon and sugar in a large bowl.
- Knead the ingredients with your hands until they stick.
- Cover the bowl with a plastic bag, then leave the dough aside for an hour until it ferments.
- Heat the oil in a saucepan over a strong heat.
- Moisten one hand with a little water, then take an amount of the dough, and press the dough with the palm of your hand, then take the excess amount with the other hand with a spoon.
- Grease the Luqaimat balls with oil with care.
- Fry the floats until golden.
- To prepare the syrup, dissolve the sugar in water in a saucepan on the stove, then add the lemon juice.
- Stir the ingredients well and let the syrup boil and condense for 10 minutes.
- Add rose water and blossom water and boil the ingredients for an additional 3 minutes.
- Take the drink off the stove, let it cool down, then pour it on the floats and feet.
