Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 Egg
- ¼ c bread crumbs
- ⅛ tsp ground black pepper
- ½ tsp seasoned salt
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 c thinly sliced onion
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 c beef broth
- 1 tbsp cooking sherry
- ½ tsp seasoned salt
Instructions
- Step 1: Add the ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Step 2: Make 8 balls out of the mixture and slightly press each into a patty.
- Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Step 4: Add oil and allow it to become hot.
- Step 5: Add the patties and onion. Cook each side of the patties for 4 minutes or until brown.
- Step 6: Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a clean plate.
- Step 7: Add flour into the skillet with the onions. Stir until well mixed and make sure to scrape the bottom of the skillet to get the brown bits.
- Step 8: Add the sherry, beef broth, and salt. Allow the mixture to simmer for 5 minutes or until the texture becomes thick.
- Step 9: Reduce the heat to low, then put the patties back to the skillet.
- Step 10: Cover the skillet and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Step 11: Remove the skillet from the heat.
- Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
